About GridLiance West
A subsidiary of NextEra Energy Transmission, LLC, GridLiance West is a transmission-only utility company. Its transmission system is located in a region rich with renewable energy resources. Its ideal location allows renewable energy developers to locate large-scale wind, solar, geothermal, and battery storage facilities in Nevada and interconnect to the grid more easily.
In addition to enabling renewable energy development, GridLiance West has invested in transmission improvements that have strengthened the reliability of the regional grid and reduced transmission congestion.
